Therapy Coordinator
Job Description
You will be an Alternative Therapy Coordinator at this company. It will be your duty to manage and coordinate programs for our clients using alternative therapies. Close interaction between professionals in healthcare and therapists involved in complementary treatment as well as patients themselves is vital for smooth implementation of different alternatives that are tailored specifically for them.
Responsibilities
- Come up with and implement collaborative programs along with medical practitioners and other therapists working in alternative treatment methods.
- Assess client needs and preferences about other forms of treatments.
- Ensure proper timing of sessions as well as all logistics such as transport arrangements so that services are availed promptly.
- Brief people on diverse options offered by such practices, including what benefits come from using each one against its drawbacks or any risks associated with it.
- Keep records documenting advances made by patients under unusual therapy situations.
- Make suggestions on how we should improve various rehabilitation systems through carrying out assessments aimed at determining the effectiveness of these non-medication approaches.
- Stay updated on advanced clinical researches related to non-traditional medicine.
Requirements
- The candidate must have a degree in areas like psychology, social work or even non-conventional care (e.g., psychotherapy) which would be preferred if it was followed up by master’s certificate/degree.
- Be a certified expert/specialist/have been trained in one or more modes of alternative therapy e.g. acupuncture, massage therapy, aromatherapy, yoga therapy among others.
- Experience in a hospital setup before would be an added advantage as we are in dire need of individuals who have knowledge about holistic health and alternative medicine.
- Good interpersonal skills, communication and client-patient partnership skills and abilities when dealing with the clients’ health care providers.
Among other things, this requires a good organizational spirit where the incumbent must use.
